Privacy Policy

This statement describes how Pedit & Mayr Steuerberatung GmbH (https://innsbruck-steuerberater.com/), Egger-Lienz-Straße 2, 6020 Innsbruck, processes your personal data. It is directed at our current and former clients, prospective and potential future clients, as well as their respective shareholders, officers, and other employees.

  1. Purposes of Data Processing

  • To establish, manage, and conclude business relationships;

  • To strengthen existing client relationships or establish new ones, or to approach prospective clients, including providing information about legal developments and our services (marketing);

  • If already contracted, for internal organization and damage management within the firm and, as commissioned by the client:

  • For payroll processing (including monthly payroll, reporting to authorities, etc.);

  • For financial and business accounting, including cost accounting and related advisory services;

  • For consulting and representation in tax and economic matters;

  • For advising and representing clients in contribution, insurance, and benefit matters related to social security;

  • For representation before administrative courts, authorities, and religious institutions in contribution matters;

  • For other consulting, fiduciary duties, and asset management as permitted under § 2 WTBG 2017;

  • For all tasks assigned according to § 2 WTBG 2017;

  • For performing assurance services requiring an independent auditor, such as audits of accounting, financial statements, cost accounting, and business operations, whether mandated by law or commissioned privately or publicly;

  • For conducting other audits and agreed-upon procedures;

  • For assistance in accounting and financial reporting and the closing of business books;

  • For all advisory services related to business accounting;

  • For advice on internal control systems;

  • For restructuring consulting, including drafting, reviewing, and overseeing the implementation of restructuring plans;

  • For consulting in currency matters (excluding court representation);

  • For preparing expert opinions in accounting and financial reporting and related fields requiring knowledge of accounting or business administration;

  • For performing trustee duties and asset management (excluding building management);

  • For consulting on labor-related matters;

  • For acting as a mediator;

  • For all tasks under § 3 WTBG 2017.

If we collect personal data directly from you, providing such data is generally voluntary. However, we may not be able to fulfill our contract or only partially if you do not provide your personal data.

  1. Legal Bases of Processing

If you are a prospective or potential client, we will only process your contact data for direct marketing via electronic communication or phone with your consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. If you are a client, we process your data as necessary to perform our contractual obligations (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

In addition, we process your personal data based on our overriding legitimate interest in achieving the purposes stated in point 1 (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and on the statutory basis provided by the WTBG 2017 (Art. 9(2)(g) GDPR).

  1. Transmission of Your Personal Data

To fulfill the purposes in point 1, we may transmit your data to the following recipients:

  • IT service providers and marketing service providers;

  • Public authorities, courts, and public bodies;

  • Auditors for auditing purposes;

  • Insurance companies related to contract execution or claims;

  • Clients, if data relates to their shareholders, officers, or employees;

  • Legal representatives and cooperation partners;

  • Recipients designated by the client (e.g., group companies);

  • In payroll: creditors, representatives, insurers, pension funds, banks handling payments, company doctors, co-insured parties;

  • In accounting: collection agencies, client-authorized banks, factoring or leasing companies.

Some recipients may be located outside Austria or process your data there. These countries may not have the same level of data protection as Austria. We ensure an adequate level of protection, e.g., by concluding standard contractual clauses (2010/87/EC and/or 2004/915/EC). Available upon request (see section 6).

  1. Storage Duration

We store your data until the end of the business relationship or until statutory retention and limitation periods expire; and additionally, until any legal disputes are resolved. If you are a (former) client or contact person, we retain your data for marketing purposes until you object or withdraw your consent. Consent for loading external resources (e.g., Calendly, Google Maps) is stored in local storage.

You have the right to (i) access and receive a copy of your data; (ii) request correction, completion, or deletion; (iii) restrict processing; (iv) object or revoke consent (without affecting legality of past processing); (v) request data portability (if applicable); (vi) know third-party recipients; and (vii) lodge a complaint with the data protection authority.
